Alice Saggers

Alice has worked a variety of positions within the book industry since graduating from UEA in 2008. Starting in the basement of Gower Street Waterstone’s selling medical textbooks to overprivileged students, she moved to the prestigious Hatchards of Piccadilly to serve the eccentric residents of Mayfair, pander to the whims of world-famous authors and run the Hardback Fiction department. She is now forging a career in publishing, starting at Anova Books, now working at Phaidon Press (http://www.phaidon.com) but hoping eventually to break into the inpenetrable world of trade fiction. She is an active member of the SYP, a committed Virago enthusiast, a reluctant tweeter (@jazz_age_alice) and a hanger-on at book launches.
